This online course follows on from the introductory course. The course will explore the needs and experiences of women veterans in more depth, and how services might better meet these needs.  

The course will recap the unique military context of military sexual trauma and some of the considerations for service providers. It will explore how to promote engagement with services amongst women veterans, discuss questions of assessment and disclosure around military sexual trauma, and outline possible treatments, issues and adaptations that may be beneficial. 

All the information is based on current academic and applied research, and is presented in relation to women veterans of the UK Armed Forces residing in the UK.

This course is appropriate for anyone who may work with women veterans in a healthcare or support setting. It may be of particular relevance to those working in veteran-specific services.
